But I'm right.
It's hilarious.
I have a hard time even thinking about without laughing.
Anyway, there's one exchange in there between the two main characters (Matthew McConaughey and Steve Zahn) that I really like. My parents and I were trying to recreate it but couldn't remember it word for word. My parents watched the movie and my mom wrote down the conversation (thanks again Mom!). I'm putting it here so I can find it again when I want to. (:
Al: You know how it
is when you see someone you haven’t seen since high school and they’ve got some dead end job, and they’re married to some woman who hates 'em, they’ve got like
3 kids that think he’s a joke.
Isn’t there some
point at which he said - Bob, don’t take that
job. Bob, Don’t marry
that harpy. You know?
Dirk: Your point?
Al: Well, we’re in
the middle of the desert looking for the source of a river pollutant using as
our map a cave drawing of a civil war gunship which is also in the desert. I was just
wondering when we’re gonna have to sit down and reevaluate our decision making
paradigm.
Dirk: I don’t know, it’s working for
us so far.
Seriously, if you haven't seen it, watch it. And let me know that you need to watch it and I'll watch it with you. (:
