Growth

I love seeing proof that my plants are growing. Most the time I miss it, but yesterday I saw...

Isn't it beautiful?! (:

Follow-up

A couple of weeks ago I me mentioned going to the dentist for the first time in... A very long time.

I was worried that my teeth would look so bad that they would tell me, 'I'm sorry, we're pulling all your teeth. You can't be trusted with them.'

Luckily that wasn't the case and I was found with two cavities as opposed to the anticipated 20. Those two got filled last week.

Also, during my check-up / cleaning appointment, the hygienist convinced me of the importance of flossing. I've never been a regular flosser. Since the appointment, I have missed some days, but as Jessica said, even doing it just two or three times a week is better than not doing it at all.

So here's to flossing.

My Happy Place

So grateful for friends who share their little ones with me. Especially now that all my nieces and nephews live far away.

In My Inbox

Along with way too many emails I still need to respond to (in spite of the fact that I've waited so long on some of them it's almost embarrassing), are two emails that I'm pretty excited about.

The Delta email for February is me going to Denver to visit and babysit for about 3.5 days while my sister and brother-in-law go to Vale for a work meeting of his. I imagine there are worse places than Vale to have to go to for work.

The Delta email for May is me going to Tulsa to visit and babysit for about the same amount of time... I think... (maybe less?) while another sister and brother-in-law go to Indianapolis to look for a place to live.

Obviously, I can be bought. So if you, or anyone you know, needs a traveling babysitter, let me know. Of course, it will probably help if I'm related to you, or consider myself related to you. (:

Double Duty

I did my boot camp workout this morning - live from the east coast. I had kinda forgotten that I was scheduled or flying yoga tonight.

I'm going to be sore and tired tomorrow!

Hopefully it'll be the kind that hurts so good...

Now Meet Erik

Another of the trainers from boot camp.

My favorite thing he said tonight -

'Your body will take care of itself. Concentrate on your love [for yourself], on feeling good, happy.'

I'm working on it...

Meet Jonathan

I signed up for an online boot camp with my sister. So he's kinda like my personal trainer.

Here he is doing the hardest part (minus the push-ups, which I always stink at) of today's workout. Doesn't look too bad... trust me. It was bad.
 Bad... but awesome...

Max wanted to help me with my sit-ups.
Sweet of him, right?

For the first time ever (to my knowledge anyway) Max just kind of howled in his sleep. It wasn't a full-on howl, but it was noise from his mouth and it wasn't barking or whimpering.

I wasn't sure what it was at first but then I saw his mouth moving. I said his name - woke him up - and he stopped.

I've now heard him bark, whimper, and howl in his sleep.

Weird dog.

Good Day

Shoveled some snow this morning (I think this megastorm is finally over - after depositing many inches of snow since Thursday afternoon), went to practice the musical number I'm doing tomorrow (singing a solo - yikes), then headed down to Provo with the pups.

After taking Max to visit my brother and his roommates - they all love him, and I love that they love him - I took belle to visit with my grandmother and then went to have lunch at a friend's house.

It was great catching up with Sharla. Her little boy woke up from his nap while I was there and I just have to say - he is adorable! I had a blast playing with him and got him to throw back his head and laugh a few times. He's adorable! Did I say that already? (: I'd like to state for the record that I think it's completely unfair of my siblings to have their kids so far away from me (do you hear that, siblings?). While they've done a great job in terms of numbers (24 and 25 are coming soon!), proximity has a lot to be desired (none of them are in Utah anymore!). I'm just really glad that I have friends with cute kids that are willing to share their kids with me.

Anyway, it was a good day. I'm grateful for family and friends that are like family.

Happy Saturday!

In Theory...

... this is what I'm learning to do at my flying yoga classes.

this is amanda, one of the instructors, just 'messing around' after class.

It's in the very theoretical stages right now.

But I'm still having a blast.

This sign says 'Winter Storm 4 pm Today.' (Don't worry, I didn't actually look at my phone while I took this picture... While driving...)

I didn't know it was possible to schedule those. No one asked me, but turns out that works just fine for me.

I hope it's not too terrible though since I'll need to leave the house before 6 to get to flying yoga!

(just saw an email that said this storm is going to be pretty terrible... which makes me hope they're wrong. whoever 'they' are...)

Pretty

I've always loved the moon. Especially when it's with clouds. I can't remember when this was taken, but I like it. (:

Dentist

I have a dentist appointment this afternoon.

I haven't been to the dentist in... some years.

Let me just say that I'm prepping myself for 20 cavities, but secretly (or, not so secretly) hoping for much fewer...

Wish me luck!

Flying Yoga

Tonight I went to my second aerial yoga class. There was a livingsocial deal for unlimited classes in a month. A friend and I purchased it and we started going last week Thursday.

Let me just say - never have my muscles been so sore and so tired after yoga. But then again, until last week, they had never done flying yoga.

I want to say that this just might be the coolest thing ever. And if you ever get a chance to do it, DO IT.

I'm really tempted to go even after my month is up because it's so much fun and it's obviously able to tone your muscles.

Who cares that I laugh through almost the whole class at my inability to correctly do the majority of the moves the teacher asks us to do.

What matters is that I cheated on fewer of them tonight than I did last time.

And that's progress. (:

(pictured are the six stations of hanging silks that we use)

(and here's lettie being awesome)
