Warm Salt Water, Chicken Noodle Soup, and White Christmas

For the past few days I've been keeping these items close:
(not shown: the cherry chloraseptic that I begin and end my day with)

I've spent a lot of time here:

And these two have been my near-constant companions:

Today is much better than yesterday. I had been sick for a coupel of weeks, but it's gotten worse this week. Yesterday seemed to be the peak of everything. I was coughing a lot, my nose was almost constantly running, and any nap I tried to get was full of restless tossing and turning.

Today I'm still sick, but I think I've reached the turning point. I got up around 10, watched a movie, and fell asleep for another 2 hours (today my nap was very restful, a healing sleep). It was almost three by the time I got dressed. And by dressed I mean I changed out of my pajamas into sweatpants and a sweatshirt.

To explain the title: I read that gargling warm salt water can help loosen and clear out mucus that's caught in the throat. So I gargled. And it worked. (side note: did you know that it's possible to gag on water that you gargle? it is.) One of my professors mentioned drinking lots of chicken noodle soup. It sounded so good, that I went to the store today and got some. It was great. Last, I watched White Christmas last night. Yes, it's the middle of October where I live too, but that's such a good movie that I feel like it's watchable anytime of year. I stand by that. I loved it.

That's all.
